Hey and welcome back! I am so thankful you are taking the
time to read this post!
This week things have certainly been falling into place. As
you have probably seen in the purple writing at the top of my blog, my
Grandparents bought my bag and sleeping bag for me last Friday. I can honestly
say it is the Cadillac of all bags. My sleeping bag is awesome as well. The
only challenge is folding it up small enough to fit it into its carrying bag
which is a tad smaller than a football. But, once it's in there it is the
perfect traveling size. This week I also went and got my travel shots. I am not
one for needles, but I am glad to report I did not cry at all! It has been a
busy week of getting things together, but a rewarding one. I have now completed
and sent in all my paper work to attend the DTS, so everything is ready to go.
It has been a full week of arts and crafts as well. My mom
and I have made around 25 sets of coasters and 25 rings to sell at my
fundraiser. It feels like we have coasters and rings coming out of every nook
and cranny of our house! I'm ready to sell all of them! The fundraiser is
happening this weekend! Although all of the hair appointments are filled
(Amen!) we will be there from 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. hanging out, selling
coasters, rings, cake pops, and homemade cupcakes, so I encourage you to drop
by and see us! Another thing I was blessed with this week was being able to get
in touch with someone who has been to YWAM DP and was able to give me some
great information on what I will need and what to expect. I think I can speak
for everyone in my family when I say it was a true blessing and has eased our
minds about my trip! I just have to tell myself that the next few weeks leading
up to my trip are going to get stressful at times, but I need to take things
one step at a time and enjoy the journey I am taking with God.
I want to point out a new feature on my blog. To the right,
I have a "contact me" form that my awesome mom put on here for me.
You just click on it, put in your information, and it sends it directly to me.
I would love to join with you in any prayer request you may have, or if you
would like any information on what I am doing, or just to chat, I'm open for
all! I will keep everything private and confidential too. This will probably be
the best way to contact me while in Belize too.
I will be sending out an update newsletter next week with my
touch cards in it. If you would like to receive it, feel free to contact me
with your address so I can get it to you!
Thank you again for your support and encouragement!
The address for my aunt's beauty salon is, 112 Morris Dr Ste
5, Harrisburg, NC 28075. I hope to see you all there!
