Hi all! I hope you are all doing amazing! Things are great here! This week has been a really heavy week as we have been dealing with the topic of forgiveness, but it has also been a week of healing. I'm so grateful to be here with these amazing people who care and only want to see us succeed. Everyone here has such a big heart for Christ.
Friday night we loaded up the boat and went into town for ministry night.We had six small groups and our objective was to talk to three different groups of people and learn two interesting facts about the culture. At first it was really overwhelming. It was Belize's Independence Day, so there was a huge festival going on with lots of interesting characters to talk to. It was probably one of the coolest experiences I've had here. The people are super nice and enjoy talking. My group was walking down an alley and we passed some teens hanging out on a golf cart. One of them stopped us and asked for a quarter and then for a dollar. Peer, the guy in my group, said he would buy him dinner instead. So, we walked with the boy to the park and bought him dinner and we were able to invite him to come to community night here on the base. (Community night is held on Thursday here. We open up worship and a message to the islanders) Then he took us back to his group of friends and we socialized with them a bit and explained what we are doing here. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to do it again!
I would like to ask that you keep me and my DTS family in your prayers this week, that people's money for outreach will start flooding in, and that God will continue to move in His amazing ways. Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement!
